What if?... What if we simply did nothing? As I work with churches and ministries, I am increasingly amazed at the level of apathy and general unwillingness to engage the process of public policy. I see a once influential segment of society who laid the foundation for our great nation. Read More...

I PRAY I VOTE
This is a simplistic yet paradox shifting slogan that has the potential to shift the direction of a nation. It consists of two actions that when combined will produce a measurable and tangible change in the voter statistics and the selection of leaders who govern our republic. The greatest plague destroying our nation is voter apathy in the evangelical demographic. It is a cancer that is spreading at epidemic proportions when no foreseeable cure in sight. Why has America stopped voting and caring about the election of leadership to govern the states? Why does the percentage of voters decrease significantly between national and local races? These questions can have multiple answers. One can be the increased level of corruption in politics. Or maybe it is the level of negativity during the campaign cycle. Or it may the lack of reliable research needed to cast an informed vote. For more information visit iprayivote.org.
parents- are you ready for this?
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, often referred to as CRC or UNCRC, is an international convention setting out the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of children. Nations that ratify this international convention are bound to it by international law. Compliance is monitored by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of a Child which is composed of members from countries around the world. Once a year, the Committee submits a report to the Third Committee of the United nations General Assembly, which also hears a statement from the CRC Chair, and the Assembly adopts a Resolution on the Rights of the Child.
Governments of countries that have ratified the Convention are required to report to, and appear before, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child periodically to be examined on their progress with regards to the advancement of the implementation of the Convention and the status of child rights in their country. Their reports and the committee's written views and concerns are available on the committee's website.
You need to take time and understand how your rights are being deminished and your role as a parent is being abducted by the government once again. Visit parentalrights.org and learn 20 Things you need to know about this resolution. Visit the ALS Reading Room for the official UN document.
