Today I am talking to the church- the people and the clergy. That’s the church. God has always intended “the church” to be the body not the building. He called every person who declares Christ as their Savior or approximately 72% of America to be salt and light in the world. The world is beyond the four walls of “the church”. The verse goes further to tell us that salt that loses its flavor is good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. God tells us to let our light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. It seems to me that He was not encouraging us to show off our Sunday best to the same crowd at church each week only to hang the suit and God back in the closet for the next week.

So I ask you- Where’s your line? As the spirit of deception and incremental moral decay sweeps our land, we as Americans have reverted to the blame game. In the most amiable yet direct tone, I tell you that it is not the fault of your Congressman, Senator, or President for the condition of the Federal Government. It is not the fault of the school boards, county government or your city leaders for the fiscal condition of many of our communities across this nation. Our Declaration of Independence places the responsibility of governing this nation in the hands of the people. It is that simple. We the people are responsible for the leadership that governs this nation. We the people are responsible for the laws that have perverted the Word of God.

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debt as it goes.” Thomas Jefferson. Yet America has allowed our national debt to reach limits unimaginable at $11.3 trillion and growing faster than I can report. The interest alone is costing American’s $412 billion each year. Imagine if 72% of America demanded a balanced budget, decreases in useless pork projects, entitlement programs that destroy the self worth of Americans and have created America’s new slavery- a slave to the government. I have to ask- Where’s your line?

God tells us the He knew us before we were in the womb. It is established by morally and scientifically that life begins at conception yet innocent lives are taken at the rate of 1.5 to 2 million every year in the name of choice. Abortion is America’s number one killer with more lives lost than all the wars combined; more than the number of lives lost over 20 years from automobile accidents. Every two to three years, America eclipses the number of lives lost in the Nazi holocaust. Today 98% percent of all abortions are a matter of convenience and 33% of abortions are performed on children without parental consent. A professor at the UCLA Medical School presented the following case history to his students: A woman who suffers from tuberculosis is pregnant. Her husband has syphilis. There are three children in the family. One is blind, another deaf, and the other suffers from tuberculosis. Yet another child died in infancy. Under the circumstances, most of the students recommended an abortion. They were then informed by their Professor: “Congratulations, you’ve just killed Beethoven!”  We as Americans do not know what God had planned for each life but just imagine is 72% of America demanded the end of abortion and gave that life a chance to be everything God destined them to be. I have to ask- Where’s your line?

Established as a Christian nation, we are called to be that shining beacon for the world. Yet we the people have allowed America to lose her identity with the establishment of an overbearing, socialist-leaning government exhorting autocratic will with the appointment of “czars” at numerous levels of private enterprise. We have allowed them to nationalize and control the very base of the free market system- our industrial and financial sectors. They dictate policy through micromanagement of the industries without regard to the long term effects of such an economic strategy. It has reached a point where dictators such as Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro consider themselves more conservative that the leadership of our nation. Across the world America is not seen as that shining beacon rather a great nation that once was. Imagine if 72% of America demanded a stop to the government control of private industry and reestablished the principles that destined her to greatness. I have to ask- Where’s your line?
            Every one of the 72% of Americans that claim Jesus Christ as their Savior has a line. The question remains- Where is your line?
