The Corinth Project

In an era where the moral foundation of our great nation and preservation of our First Amendment right to free speech as Christians have become crucial issues in politics, it is critical that those who support the Christian foundations laid by our fathers let their voices be heard.

As a republic, our most valuable voice rests in our right to vote for a representative government to determine law and policy which governs our nation. It was a calculated effort by our founding fathers to establish a republic form of government versus a democracy. In this effort our vote becomes our voice.

"America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify that devotion to the elements of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scriptures. Ladies and gentlemen, I have a very simple thing to ask of you. I ask of every man and woman in this audience that from this night on they will realize that part of the destiny of America lies in their daily perusal of this great book of revelations. That if they would see America free and pure they will make their own spirits free and pure in this baptism of the Holy Scripture."
President Woodrow Wilson, 1911

"The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."
President Calvin Coolidge

"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."
President Ronald Reagan

During the Biblical era, the city of Corinth was a pillar of strength politically, socially, and economically. They were known for and proud of their "progressive and liberal" stance on social and political issues. The apostle Paul had strong words for their morality and lack thereof in his letters to the Corinthians. America has become a modern day Corinth.

With our complacent and appeasing Biblical worldview and political system content on legislating our sinful nature; we have become a nation that has turned its back on the moral and political ideals first institutionalized during the inception on America. Our founding fathers were guided the God and His Holy Scripture.

General Douglas MacArthur provides an eloquent prospective- "History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration to ultimate national disaster." Where are we as a nation today?

The time is now for America to regain her moral compass. The Corinth Project is an initiative of A Line in the Sand Ministries. Its mission is to provide the mechanism for every Christian to be registered and informed on the local level. The uniqueness of The Corinth Project will create a paradigm shift in the way voter registrations are conducted. With traditional voter registration drives you would be receiving this letter approximately 60-90 days prior to the election with the urgent plea of an impulsive program with little or no preparation. As the church we have been oblivious to the need of a systematic approach in ensuring everyone in the Christian community is given the opportunity to be registered to vote. The Corinth Project will be organizing voter registration drives to be held in churches and local businesses across our great nation every 5th Sunday throughout the year. The predetermined date will provide an atmosphere of expectancy and convenience for your congregants and customers. The issue pieces will provide opportunities to engage the process in a unified voice. We believe this is the first step in reclaiming the voice of Christians throughout America.

The Corinth Project Call to Action

Any initiative, to be successful, must have direct involvement from committed individuals. The Corinth Project is no different. Reading about this and moving on to another website will not produce the fruit God has declared for the project.

So, what can you do today?

  1. Pray. The cornerstone of The Corinth Project is prayer.
  2. Become a church coordinator for your church. This is very easy. Simply share the Pastor's letter with your pastor to receive his/her blessing to move forward. Register with the A Line in the Sand Ministries as a church coordinator. You will receive access to the project information packet which outlines procedures on hosting a successful voter's registration drive in your church. The drives will be held on Registration Sundays as shown on the website four times per year.
  3. Tell your friends at other churches. Your endorsement and recommendation of this program is crucial to our success.
